True Story

I opened my eyes from the ‘dream,’ my heart aflutter, completely paralyzed. It was like one of those nightmares that renders you speechless and absolutely frozen with fear. But I wasn’t scared, just astounded. I had just had the most intense, full-body Dreamtime experience ever. It took me several minutes to un-freeze myself and wake up my husband. He was shaken when he saw my face. I said, ‘What in the actual eff just happened. Oh my god you’ll never believe this…’

A few days prior, we had been out to dinner with my husband’s side of the family. His brother has his pilot’s license and flies a two-seater plane as a hobby. He was proudly showing me pictures of his new toy and casually invited me to fly with him sometime. It was nice of him to ask and I even considered it for a hot minute.

But after that dinner, I went on with my life and forgot about the invite. Then two or three nights later, in the midst of a wild storm, I was sent a message. Most messages from the universe are subtle, and you can miss them if you aren’t paying attention or don’t know what to look for. This was unmistakable—there was absolutely no way to misinterpret it. It screamed, ‘DON’T GO IN THE PLANE!’ It started as a dream, but quickly moved to an intense, full body directive. I don’t know how to explain it other than I FELT those words. I didn’t hear them— they were infused into my body so I UNDERSTOOD them. I felt it in my legs, my core and my arms. It was direct and unambiguous.
It was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before— and by that time in my life I was no stranger to messages from Spirit. But this was on a whole new level. Once I could move again, Alex and I went to the window— we’d never seen thunder and lightning during a snowstorm. It just added to the mysticism of it all. Alex said, ‘My god, witch-woman, I think you caused this storm!’ (I did not cause the storm.)

I guess the ‘dream’ was my Guardian Angel protecting me from a potential crash? I’ll never know for sure because you can bet your ass I never got on that plane.
