Iβm collecting inspirational stories of how people the world over are dealing with being quarantined, what theyβve experienced and how this crisis is changing them, in big ways or small.
Todayβs ππ’π₯π―ππ« ππ’π§π’π§π π¬: ππ¨π―π’π πππ’ππ’π¨π§ story is from Laura who is Italian but lives in Vienna, Austria.
In her own words:
βToday something beautiful happened to me and I want to share it. On the road to my usual supermarket there’s this huge hedge of lilacs and today it was in full bloom. Since it doesn’t belong to a house or anything, it’s just in the street, I stopped to smell the flowers and I took a little brach. A lady stopped me and started talking to me. I was afraid she was going to tell me off for taking the flowers, but when I asked her to repeat in English (my German is not good and the masks don’t help) she said I should take more because these days we need things that make us feel good. She made me cry and I would have loved to just give her a hug for her kind words. I just want to say THANK YOU to her. I hope that the virus will pass soon, but that this kindness will stay for a long long time. PS: I did take more and I smile every time I see them.β π

And now your post made me cry. Kind people in Vienna?!? The world is really changing.
